BYD publishes versions from 7.4 kW to 22 kW. Actual charging power depends on the selected wallbox version, the vehicle’s onboard AC charger, the property supply and the installation settings.

The highest wallbox rating does not guarantee that every vehicle will charge at that power.

Smart control

BYD app, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0

The charger connects through 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. Through the BYD app, the user can start and stop charging, adjust the charging current and view charging progress.

Remote functions depend on network availability, app support and the final product configuration.

Access and scheduling

Plug & Charge, RFID card or app

Published start methods include Plug & Charge, RFID card and app control. Charging can also be scheduled for selected hours, and charging history can be viewed online.

Scheduling is useful when charging should begin during selected tariff or low-demand periods.

Installation format

Fixed 5-metre cable, wall mounting or optional pole

The Smart Wallbox is supplied with a fixed 5-metre charging cable. Wall mounting is standard, while an optional pole solution is offered for parking spaces without a suitable wall.

The cable route, parking position, mounting height and exposure to weather should be planned before installation.
