Site inspection and route planning

Before installation, the supply type, available panel space, grounding condition, parking location, and route length are reviewed. Planning covers penetrations, conduit or trunking, outdoor exposure, and future maintenance access.

Private-home installation

A dedicated circuit can usually be routed from the electrical panel to the parking space. Work may include charger mounting, conduit, cable, a protection enclosure, isolator, and dynamic load management according to site conditions.

The goal is convenient daily charging without overloading the property supply or leaving exposed wiring and untidy connections.

Apartment buildings and shared parking

In apartment buildings, the route may cross floors, service shafts, underground parking, and common areas. Reliable supports, labeling, separation from other systems, and accessible protection equipment are important.

Where more chargers may be added later, capacity sharing and expansion routes can be considered from the start.

Panel, RCD, and circuit protection

Charging circuits operate under sustained load, making protection a central part of the installation. Breaker, RCD, and DC leakage requirements depend on the charger manufacturer, electrical supply, and local requirements.

Equipment is installed in an accessible, clearly identified arrangement, with connections checked after commissioning.

Dynamic load management

When a property has limited electrical capacity, a load-management system measures building consumption and adjusts charging current automatically. The charger uses available capacity without exceeding a defined limit.

This is especially useful in homes with large appliances, buildings with several chargers, or properties where increasing the supply is difficult.

Charger removal and relocation

When moving home or changing parking spaces, an existing charger can be removed, checked, and installed at a new address. The new circuit, protection devices, and mounting arrangement are assessed for compatibility.

Not all cable and equipment from the previous installation will necessarily suit the new site, so the estimate is based on the new conditions.
